On June 1 I felt the first bit of hard tooth surface. Since then tooth number one has been working its way up and tooth number two has just peeked out. He also sits, says “babababab,” and claps his hands.
 Not my best picture, but a good shot of my teeth.

Recently we travelled to Massachusetts to have Little Bernie baptized. Pastor and Mrs. Anderson came up from Philadelphia to perform the baptism. (That little church in Philly still feels like home in oh so many ways.) Justin and Tonya Forsberg also travelled to become the Godparents. Unfortunately, I felt a little under the weather but other than that I think this celebration was a good time for everyone.

The Boys So, the baptism was great and the reception after was great too… but somehow I don’t have pictures of that. Last Monday we went to the doctor. Bernie weighed in at 18 lbs 9 oz and measured 27.5 inches. He also go the all clear to start on food, which he was very excited about. He’s been making grabs at Mommy’s food for quite some time now and often makes both Mommy and Daddy feel guilty for enjoying a meal with his lip-licking eager looks. SO, we waited a few days for him to recover from the shots and last night we had the first meal. We picked bananas because he had shown an attraction to them when we’ve eaten them.
 Hmmm... this is interesting. I must lean into it and grab on.
 What did you say this was again? Banana?
  I eat it myself!  All gone? But I see some right here!

Last week my mom (Gram) came through and traveled with the baby and myself to see the Buchholz side of the family. It was very exciting to finally make it out that way.
In more general news, he is now over 17 lbs and wearing 9-12 month clothing. He can sit for periods of time without help. He giggles too… but he makes us work for it and getting him to giggle counts as a workout for the day.

I hadn’t wanted to post these before we gave out Christmas gifts… but now that they won’t ruin the surprise…

Today we had the 2 month well-visit to the doctor. Bernie is now 15 lbs 6 oz and 25 3/4 inches long… putting him in the 95th percentile for infants his age. He’s a very healthy baby, and I’d say it was a great check-up but it was also our first round of vaccinations and that made for a very angry baby. He’s currently sleeping off that trauma, and hopefully he won’t be too fussy while recovering. (Hey, I can hope.)

Recently we discovered that we have a little fashion model on our hands. One of Boo’s favorite games to play is currently photographer. He LOVES to be posed and have his picture taken… especially with a flash. Mommy has had fun indulging him, and we keep getting better and better. Here are some of the results… from early efforts to more recent pics… although the best aren’t here because we had them printed up to give out for Christmas.
